Meet our speaker - Dominik Rohrmus
Dr. Dominik Rohrmus works at Siemens, Germany in different functions in the area of manufacturing and production development since 2005. In 2009 he founded the company program sustainable production engineering and rolled several projects company-wide out. In particular energy efficient production sets the focus of that program. Also cycle economy and cycle business development with Siemens business units and external partners is part of the program. Since 2013 he is the head of the research group Manufacturing Systems at Siemens Corporate Technology. The research group is responsible for shop-floor equipment development and standardization of the future for Siemens factories worldwide. Since 2016, Dr. Dominik Rohrmus is the managing director of Labs Network Industrie 4.0 e.V. (LNI4.0). LNI4.0 is a non-profit and pre-competitive German association established by a strong alliance of major companies, industry associations, policymakers and researchers. LNI4.0 is a legal arm of the German Plattform Industrie 4.0. The goal of LNI4.0 is to support the pioneering work of SMEs in the area of digitalization. Dr. Rohrmus is initiating use cases and testbeds among SMEs and test-centres in the area of Industry 4.0 focusing on regional developments.
