Meet our speaker - Jarosław Górniak
The creator of the Centre for Evaluation and Analysis of Public Policies at the Jagiellonian University. Professor in the social sciences specializing in the field of social research methods, methodology of evaluation and analysis of public policy, sociology of economy and organization, and statistical data analysis. He graduated in economics (Cracow University of Economics) and sociology (Jagiellonian University). His education continued at leading research centers, such as Hertford College (Oxford University), the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (University of Michigan), and the University of Cologne. Since 2012 he has been the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy at the Jagiellonian University. He is also head of the Department of the Sociology of Economy, Education and Research Methods. Currently he supervises a number of multi-year national research projects within the Operational Programme Human Capital, e.g. the Study of Human Capital in Poland. His research and expertise have repeatedly benefited large international organizations like the UN (United Nations Programme for Development), World Bank, European Commission, and SPSS Inc. He has supervised a number of projects commissioned by Polish authorities and government agencies, among others, Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Regional Development and Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.
