BIO

Director of the National Centre for Research and Development. Born on 2 May 1958 in Wrocław. Graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering at the Wrocław University of Technology. Since 1998 he has collaborated with CERN, including as a Member of Personnel, while in 1996-1997 he was Senior Scientific Associate there. In 2007, Professor Chorowski was Plenipotentiary of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for CERN research infrastructure. Involved in the work related to the establishment of the Wrocław Technology Park (WPT SA) from its inception and was its President in 2002-11. In 2009-2015 Professor Chorowski led more than 20  national and European research projects. He is the author or co-author of 171 publications, 5 patents and 55 unpublished works.
